RawGateFest 2006!

Song lyrics, chords and tabs can be put here. Send them to me via my private email (I can't put it here otherwise it gets spammed out). Update: the tabs don't really work very well. Use either web links or send me a file that others can download. For example, you can download this entire page in a text file by right-clicking HERE (and using "Save As...) Click HERE to see this page without a background.

Another update: a good way to hear the music and watch the musicians play the songs is to go to www.youtube.com.

1. Santa Fe Bar And Grill
By Howie Brodsky

I went to work just a regular day
Hopped on the net looking for a place to play
Browsed Craig's List for an open mic
Right before my eyes, every Thursday night

Santa Fe Bar & Grill is the place to be
Bring your guitar it will set you free
Sing a tune, play along with friends
Feel at home, you will come again

Friday morning feeling really great
Images of the night still in my head
Anticipate the next time to play
Restless night, counting the days

Santa Fe Bar & Grill is the place to be
Bring your guitar it will set you free
Sing a tune, play along with friends
Feel at home, you will come again

Get to know the regulars one by one
Things get tight, start to have fun
Know their moves before they play
This is the life at Santa Fe

Santa Fe Bar & Grill is the place to be
Bring your guitar it will set you free
Sing a tune, play along with friends
Feel at home, you will come again

2. Werewolves Of London
By Warren Zevon

Notes: Chords are basically D C G (tough huh)
You can do a littel hammer-on to get the piano feel.
Remember that the last verse has an extra two lines.

I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand
Walking through the streets of Soho in the rain
He was looking for a place called Lee Ho Fook's
Going to get a big dish of beef chow mein

{Refrain}
Ah-ooooo, werewolves of London
Ah-ooooo
Ah-ooooo, werewolves of London
Ah-ooooo

If you hear him howling around your kitchen door
You better not let him in
Little old lady got mutilated late last night
Werewolves of London again

{Refrain}

(PIANO SOLO) (length = a verse and a refrain)

He's the hairy-handed gent who ran amok in Kent
Lately he's been overheard in Mayfair
You better stay away from him
He'll rip your lungs out, jim
Ha, I'd like to meet his tailor

{Refrain}

(GUITAR SOLO) (length = a verse and a refrain)

Well, I saw Lon Chaney walking with the Queen
Doing the werewolves of London
I saw Lon Chaney Jr. walking with the Queen
Doing the werewolves of London
I saw a werewolf drinking a piña colada at Trader Vic's
His hair was perfect

Ah-ooooo, werewolves of London
Ah-ooooo, werewolves of London

(HARP SOLO with guitar licks thrown in) (length = a verse and the refrain and maybe a little more)

Finally probably wanna add in another round of....

Ah-ooooo, werewolves of London
Ah-ooooo, werewolves of London (ready, time to end)
Ah-ooooo, werewolves of London (that's it)

Ah-ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

4. Change The World (Chords and Lyrics)
By: Eric Clapton

Go to www.you.tube.com to find the Clapton vieo to hear the song and see how he plays some of it.

If I could reach the stars I'd pull one down for you
Shine it on my heart so you could see the truth
That this love I have inside is everything it seems
But for now I find it's only in my dreams

CHORUS
That I can change the world
I would be the sunlight in your universe
You will think my love was really something good
Baby if I could change the world

If I could be king even for a day
I'd take you as my queen I'd have it no other way
And our love will rule in this kingdom we have made
Till then I'd be a fool wishin' for the day

CHORUS before solo

GUITAR SOLO

CHORUS
That I can change the world
I would be the sunlight in your universe
You will think my love was really something good
Baby if I could change the world
Baby if I could change the world
Baby if I could change the world

Notes for music:
The internet shows the progression as full blown chords which I think sounds wrong.
For me, I just hammer-on a note to the E chord to match the lyric.
For example, the E progression would be hammering on the third string the melody while playing the E chord.
Do the same for the A chord (on the second string).

Intro:

E / / / E / / / E / / / E / / /
