Let's start off with some country tunes. Some Hank Williams and Willie Nelson. Songs about beer. The Eagles, Steve Miller, maybe some Tom Petty. But before we get too comfortable, why don't we play some Tenacious D, Depeche Mode or perhaps a Peter Gabriel song?

You have just entered into the Twilight Zone of eclecticism that is Don's song list.

Over the years the "show" has become more user friendly. With country tunes and classic rock, the crowd is made comfortable before the inevitable songs by David Bowie, Nirvana or Nirvana doing David Bowie.

Don started as a kid with clarinet, then saxophone, marching band, orchestra, and jazz band, and then one day took a guitar class and that was the end of that. He asked his mom for his Christmas and birthday presents six months in advance.

Christmas gift….a guitar. Birthday gift… an amp. In June. Thanks Mom.

Fast forward and we have a string of music lasting until today. A few years ago Don was allowed to play two-hour sets by himself at the now-defunct CACTUS CLUB. There are at least five recordings in existence (expect to see some of that on a web site soon). Most recently there was a streak with THE FIRST OFFENDERS at The Pioneer Saloon in Woodside and a wedding at the Mirassou Vineyards. Currently Don is lead guitarist for FOUR STROKE CREEP. All of these shows have been recorded and will be made available online eventually.
